2011 Kite Making Retreat
GIZMO Kite
This exicting new kite combines the best atributes of at least a 1/2 dozen proven designs. Simon Crafts will lead us through building this magnificent kite and share with us the tips and techniques that he has developed.
Complete material kits, including fabric, are available for $80.00
Kits without fabric are $60.00
Registration for this event is $50.
Paid registration will get you a materials list and a set of panel dimensions for the kite. With this, you can have your graphic ready when you arrive for the workshop.

The workshop venue is the Camp Hill Borough Hall. The room is open for set-up 6 pm to 8 pm Friday evening for those who can arrive early. Directions are HERE.
Saturday and Sunday lunches are included in your registration fee. In addition, there is a Saturday evening social, where attendees usually order pizza and bring other foods for a friendly, party-like gathering.
A Bag Raffle will take place, and donations are welcome. We usually have a great selection of items, so bring a little extra cash for raffle tickets!
We have a NEW Hotel this year. They are located approximately 7 miles from Camp Hill.

Summer is upon us and naturally, we want to get together and see what new kites we made/received/bought over the winter.

From South (Maryland/Gettysburg): Take 81 North towards Harrisburg. Take exit 43 and turn left at the bottom of the ramp onto Rt. 465 (Allen Road) approx. ½ mile to Rt. 11 (Sheetz on your left. Right turn onto Ritner Highway ( Rt. 11 North ). Drive approximately .9 of a mile to Meadow Blvd. (2 brick pillars) Left turn onto Meadow Blvd. Go to the end of street (2 blocks) and turn left for pavilion parking.
